I have to say that the weather is pretty bad here in the UK at the moment and I have noticed some of the US states are pretty cold too. So what happens when it snows so much that you have things like trains and buses with delayed services and the roads worse than an indoor icerink?
Take It On??
Many companies just tend to get on with it, including ours. Always try to encourage people to come in, if they cannot then there are other ways. If you are fortunate enough that you work for a company that you could in fact do some of the work at home then this always becomes an option and there are many companies out there that would rather you kick back at home and work than risk coming in to do the same thing on executive furniture.
There is something that comes into a lot of heads, why on earth cant I work from home all the time?? One of the major reasons for this is the customers, they are going to want to speak to you at some point and once they have your home number they could ring you at any stage of the day. On top of all of this you shouldnt perhaps have a lot of the work files at your home computer. What if someone gets into the files at home, well then its your fault. If this happens at the office it not your fault at all.
Shut Down?
Some companies really cannot be bothered when it comes to the snow so they just shut for a few days. However if you are thinking about doing this you will lose money each day you are closed so bare this in mind.
Make sure you pop back into those serviced offices London, and get your butts back on the executive office seating.
